KF07910 · 39.14 ct Vivid Red Garnet Bracelet
It is uncommon to encounter red garnets of this level. This gemstone is extraordinarily rare. It is an Ant Hill Garnet from Arizona, displaying an intensely vivid red color and exceptional clarity.
This material originates from Apache territory, in the region known as Four Corners, where four states converge. For centuries, local inhabitants have traditionally collected these garnets.
Its name—Ant Hill Garnet—comes from a unique natural phenomenon: ants, while building their mounds, bring small garnet crystals to the surface, where they become visible around the anthills.
The central gemstone presented here is, in all likelihood, one of the largest Ant Hill Garnets in existence: 39.14 carats. The vast majority of these stones rarely exceed one or two carats; discovering an example of this size is an exceptional geological event.
The stone has been cut with absolute precision by Kat Florence, maximizing brilliance, dispersion, and presence. The piece is completed with 3.8 carats of D Flawless diamonds, along with a solid structure of 56 grams of 18k gold, making the setting a powerful work of art in its own right.
Due to its size, clarity, and color—the characteristic intense red known as “screaming red”—this garnet ranks among the most important specimens ever seen in Arizona.
A reference piece for collectors of exceptional American gemstones, on par with great benitoites, rare spinels, or historic californites.
The gemological pride of Arizona, brought to its highest expression.
